Laura's Creations

I have been thinking of doing this for SO LONG! I am finally taking the plunge!
I am starting my own "craft" business in which I will sell handmade Cards, Mixed
Media Canvas Art, Wreaths, home decor items, hair bands and barrettes, and Special
Event decor like Birthday or Baby Shower banners, invitations, etc....
I will be posting my "creations" all the time on this blog so keep coming back to check to see
what is new and exciting!  I strive to provide Creations that my customers are going to really
LOVE, so if you see something you like but it isn't quite what you want contact me and we
will create a custom order that truly meets your needs!  That is what I truly love about creating
for other people, is making it special and personalized for them.  That is what I have always
loved about making hand made cards-making them unique for that person.  Whether it is their
favorite color, their favorite flower, or for one customer I made a card with their dad's favorite
type of vintage car on it for his birthday.  Those little details when making a card shows the
person who are giving it to, that you took the time and attention to create(or have created) a card
just for them!
When I am making my "Creations" I am very detailed and try to make whatever it is suit the customer.

I would like to thank all of my friends at work who encouraged me to take this step and
believed in me.
Thanks to: Corinne-my confidence booster and idea generator
                   Sara-always so positive and encouraging
                   Martina and Jenny-always so complimentary
                   Jennifer and Julietta-my positivity "sisters"
                   Ashley-so bubbly and positive!
                   Brigitte-so elegantly complimentary
I don't know if I would have taken this step without your encouragement and support.  Thanks to all of you, but especially Corinne!
WISH ME LUCK ON THIS ENDEAVOR!!!

It's Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas

Now that it is almost December 1st, let the decorating begin! I can't wait to put up all my Christmas decorations-the garland for above the fireplace, the wreath, and all of the Let It Snow and other Christmas decorations I've collected over the years. We got a new artificial tree this year, can't wait to put it up in the living room. My most recent holiday obsession is poinsettas.

One of the things I love the most about Christmas is that it is the perfect time to create. I am making another wreath using scrapbooking products, my pinecone trees, Christmas cards, gifts for my sons teachers, and so much more...

The kids at work are also excited for Christmas to come, and we're going to make a Santa's workshop in the house area. It is so much fun to share my creativity with the kids!

Watch for the post on how to make a fun but simple Christmas card using Martha Stewart's new fringe scissors.

Time for Change

Well, as much as I'd like to be in denial-the leaves are falling here and weather is turning cold. I am missing summer and wish I could go back to the time of our holiday to Fairmont Hot Springs where we were swimming away in the pool and enjoying the sunshine.

I've changed jobs and work in a fantastic child care center at the University Infant Toddler Daycare and am so glad to be back here(I worked here 5 years ago). I love working with the toddlers and see what they can learn and create each day.

My son Eric has now started Gr.4, where has the time gone? My stepdaughter Juelle started at Grant MacEwan University, it seems like yesterday she was the flowergirl at our wedding.

I have lots of scrapbooking and home decor projects on the go right now-Back to School layouts, our Fairmont trip, I am transforming some IKEA lamps to look Asian with some Banana Leaf paper and Prima cherry blossoms. If you want to see how they all turn out check in from time to time.....

Happy scrapbooking and crafting!

Scrapbooking Tidbits

This is where I post some of my layouts and paper crafting projects.

Creatively ME

ME: LAURA GAUDIN
Location: Edmonton, AB Canada
I am married(I just celebrated my 14th wedding anniversary)to my wonderful husband John.
I am a mom, child care worker, scrapbooker/paper crafter, and just recently started to cross stitch. I am also a step-mom and grandma. The grandma title is still a little touchy with me.
This is my blog of paper crafting inspiration, and a tool for children who want to learn to scrapbook.

Hope you enjoy!
