It's Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas

Now that it is almost December 1st, let the decorating begin! I can't wait to put up all my Christmas decorations-the garland for above the fireplace, the wreath, and all of the Let It Snow and other Christmas decorations I've collected over the years. We got a new artificial tree this year, can't wait to put it up in the living room. My most recent holiday obsession is poinsettas.

One of the things I love the most about Christmas is that it is the perfect time to create. I am making another wreath using scrapbooking products, my pinecone trees, Christmas cards, gifts for my sons teachers, and so much more...

The kids at work are also excited for Christmas to come, and we're going to make a Santa's workshop in the house area. It is so much fun to share my creativity with the kids!

Watch for the post on how to make a fun but simple Christmas card using Martha Stewart's new fringe scissors.

Time for Change

Well, as much as I'd like to be in denial-the leaves are falling here and weather is turning cold. I am missing summer and wish I could go back to the time of our holiday to Fairmont Hot Springs where we were swimming away in the pool and enjoying the sunshine.

I've changed jobs and work in a fantastic child care center at the University Infant Toddler Daycare and am so glad to be back here(I worked here 5 years ago). I love working with the toddlers and see what they can learn and create each day.

My son Eric has now started Gr.4, where has the time gone? My stepdaughter Juelle started at Grant MacEwan University, it seems like yesterday she was the flowergirl at our wedding.

I have lots of scrapbooking and home decor projects on the go right now-Back to School layouts, our Fairmont trip, I am transforming some IKEA lamps to look Asian with some Banana Leaf paper and Prima cherry blossoms. If you want to see how they all turn out check in from time to time.....
